Studying abroad is every bit as great as they tell you. So far, my semester in Florence has been filled with delicious food and wine, endless walking, grocery shopping, and exploring each corner of this vibrant city. While every day is different from the last, I enjoy daily rituals that include a cappuccino at breakfast, dodging mopeds and pedestrians on the narrow cobblestone streets, walking past the Duomo on my way to class, and sharing a bottle of red wine with my roommates after a full and fun day. While Florence has endless opportunities for adventure, I have been privileged to travel just about every weekend to cities all over Europe. Although the language barrier can be an obstacle, traveling has given me the greatest feeling of freedom. With only a few months left in Europe, I am trying to live in the moment and soak up as much as possible before heading back to the States!
